Mullein Leaf (Verbascum Thapsis) Tincture

Mullein Leaf is most widely known for its uses in respiratory illness, however it does have other uses.  Native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa mullein is naturalized and quite commonly found in North America and often used for its anti-inflammatory, and antispasmodic properties.  In this tincture, the mullein leaf (verbascum thapsis) is extracted in vodka.

• Supports the respiratory system as an anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic.
• Assists the body as an anti-inflammatory.
• Supports the urinary tract as an anti-inflammatory.

Dosage

• This tincture is to be taken orally and may be taken plain under the tongue, or mixed into water, juice, or milk.
• Typically it is best to use only one or two drops of the tincture when taking for the first time, only increasing the dosage as needed or directed.

Contraindications…

• In cases of extreme lung congestion it may cause vomiting or even choking on the mucous.
